Hello again…still feeling all the fall vibes and pumpkin spiciness around here. Look at this nice photo montage. A few little bits from the week (clockwise from top left):
- Let’s Give ‘Em Pumpkin to Talk About – 3 wick candle from Walmart. The scent is nice and light. Not too overpowering. It doesn’t burn as smoothly as my BBW candle, but for less than $7, it’s sufficient. Would be good in a gift basket with tea and a mug, blanket.
- Shelfie close up. I cleaned out an old Paddywax candle jar and put a battery tea light inside. All vibes.
- One of the 3-Ingredient Muffins I talked about last week. The best! Also, more pumpkin tea, and a special edition creamer I’ll mention below.
- Finished The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi. Read it on my Kindle instead of the Libby app on my iPad. I forgot how nice it is to read on a Kindle. So lightweight. Going to do this more often. And I loved this book.
While ordering groceries on the Walmart app this week, I saw this limited edition coffee creamer. I order creamer for J who drinks coffee every morning. I like to switch up the flavors.

I tried this in my pumpkin teas and it’s fantastic. Just a tablespoon does the trick. It’s as good as the Oatmeal Cookie creamer I tried last Christmas. I don’t use enough to go through a whole bottle, so it’s nice when the flavors of what I like and I think J might like overlap.

I read five books this week and all were good. The above one is my favorite for the month so far. I loved the main characters: Tova and Marcellus, a Giant Pacific Octopus. That’s right, one of the POV’s in the story is an octopus and the other is Tova, the aquarium cleaner. She’s in her 80s and I really love reading books with more age representation. It was masterful and touching. I also love it when a story influences me. Tova has influenced me to downsize even more. In May, I donated & tossed hundreds of things. I was loosely playing the minimalism game. Everything from a pile of extra hangers, a gallon sized bag of washi tape, stacks of clothes, decor (so many lamps), a couple books, and an entire stack of old Christmas cards and photos.
I think it’s time to weed out more things that I haven’t used. I’ll try to sell some of the next batch, though. Like some large craft tools. I really dislike selling things online, though.
Lastly, Dunkin’ Donuts has Pumpkin Spice drinks on the menu already if you’re waiting for Starbucks to bring back the PSL (rumor says Aug 30). And they’re HALF the cost of Starbs, too, even better. I like the PS Cold Brew. I tried the signature latte, but there wasn’t enough coffee in it for me, too much dairy.

And here’s a funny for you below. More later, lovelies, thanks for hanging out with me here today. <3, C
