(inter)National Scrapbook Day was Saturday, May 1st. Since I’ve been scrapbooking non-stop since January, I really looked forward to it for the first time in YEARS!! I spent the day continuing to scrapbook 2014 photos. It was a big year and I ended up with 2 albums: 1 pre-move, and one post-move. The move happened in July, so it was pretty evenly divided. Here’s my albums:

Both of these covers came from Traci Reed’s newest kit, My Story Matters. My favorite thing about her kits (besides being so pretty), is that she has sticker sheets, and TN-sized pages that are all set for printing. This is nice if you’re a hybrid scrapper, like me. Typically, if I buy a digital scrapbooking collection, I need to open the individual png files and save them to an 8.5″ x 11″ page in a photo editing program (I use photopea.com – it’s free!). And then flatten all the layers and print.
Traci makes it easy to just print after downloading the files. The Sweet Shoppe (where I went shopping) had a big sale going on for iNSD, so I also bought a few more of her TN papers from other collections. I’m always in need of cute paper! I loved being able to support a small business on this day. I’ve been buying supplies from big craft, independent stores, and downloads from artists since I started scrapping again in January.
The shop also had a free kit by Tracie Stroud with purchase. I love this rainbow paper that came with it:

Some of these pictures I took for Instagram stories, so they are story-sized! I had a fun time scrapbooking most of the day. I wore myself out and took a nap, but I told myself that I don’t need one day to scrapbook. Scrapbooking is for whenever you want! Another cute rainbow page printable:

When I print a 12″x12″ sized paper (like the above one) on an 8.5’x11″, I fill up as much of the page as possible (it’s usually 8.2″-ish square), cut in half, and then plan on mounting each “half” onto cardstock that is the right size for the album. I love scrapbooking this TN size: 8.25″ x 4.38″. I’ll post more about why I ended up on this size after past years of scrapbooking 12×12. It has really freed me creatively to start creating again.
