This was the first year that I did a little documenting every day leading up to Christmas. Here’s a peek at my days!
Day 1 – I thought this was going to be an Advent journal, but I switched it to a daily journal instead. So, I actually have 2 pages for day one! Patterned paper by Lora Bailora. Penguins by Elaine Davis. The blue envelope is an old Sunday School offering envelope! There’s a large pink “1” that fell off when I took the picture. It goes under the blue envelope in the corner.

Below, there’s a journal tag inside the glassine envelope. The envelope is recycled from the Illustrated Faith advent kit this month. The floral is by Vanessa Walker (VW going forward). I stuck a little coffee cup sticker to the penguin hand. I thought that was cute. Also documenting my favorite tea this month! Yogi Sweet Tangerine is sooo good!

Day 2: very early trip to the city to pick up some office furniture for me. The buyers of our house in Oregon requested all the IKEA furniture in my office, so I left it for them. Unfortunately, I still needed furniture! It’s ok because some of my old pieces wouldn’t have worked here. We left at 5:30am so that we could be there at opening to avoid crowds. And it was nearly empty!
Some goodies shown here are by Simple Stories and American Crafts. Poinsettias are by Elaine Davis. The large acetate numbers all throughout are by Lora Bailora. I picked them up last year.

Day 3: Unpacking all that furniture and setting up my crafty space! I love these trees by Kelly Bangs Creative!

Day 4: Meeting up with Becki for coffee! Die cuts by Lora Bailora (LB going forward). Coffee Cup by Kelly Bangs Creative (KBC). Deer stamp by Illustrated Faith (previous year). Pink tag by Mandy Ford.

Day 5 and 6: a few “around here” pictures. Kikki.k had these printable cats as a free download in December. I loved using them! Tree by LB. Squirrels by American Crafts (AC).

Day 7 & 8: More home pics, a cute gift received, and landscape. Floral by KBC. Chipboard hearts by LB. Paper is an AC Snow & Cocoa card cut in half.

Day 9 & 10: More craftiness! This was my last day of acetate numbers, sadly! Fox and tag by KBC and the tree by LB. Not all of my days are captured consecutively. Sometimes I just chose a story to tell on that day that happened that month. Round “ten” is by Becca Bonneville (BB).

Day 11-12: I sewed all these mini mask ornaments for my grandma to give to her grandkids. She sends us all an ornament every year, and this year she ran out of time to order some and she’s not out shopping (as she shouldn’t be due to the pandemic). I sort of got roped into making all the mini masks! Lol. I haven’t heard if any of the other grandkids actually liked their ornaments! Oh well. My mom sewed tiny, silver “2020” charms onto them right under the button.
The 11 tag is by Jill Drangsholt (JD) and star by Elaine Davis. I tucked a tag behind the page – you can see the kraft edge of it! Day 12 I didn’t have any photos, so I listed a “What I’m Watching” page. It will be fun to look back on! I screenshot a few of my favorite shows from December.

Day 13-14: Today I documented all the changes happening during the last month. I moved 1,200 miles from the west coast to the midwest, unpacked, decorated, and tried to keep up with my CT responsibilities. It was a lot to handle. Doing this project helped keep me grounded and thankful. Alpha stickers by LB, paper by AC.
Added to all of that, Olive (the other reindeer) came back to our house. When she was born almost 4 years ago, our vet’s office staff adopted her and her sister. We kept one of the sisters. Right before moving, Olive’s mom contacted us and asked if we would want her back. She had been having some behavioral issues around their toddler, and she felt it would be best for Olive to move into a different home. We said yes! We had been discussing adopting a 4th dog, and she’s such a sweet thing. We are delighted to have her back. Tree by KBC, tag by AC, paper by LB.

I’ll add the remaining days in my next post! Thanks for reading!
