Another two weeks has passed, so here’s a little update!
Don’t you just love the -ber months? I do. I’ve been scrapbooking many fall memories. As such, I decided to keep them in one autumnal album, disregarding monthly dates. If it’s fall or happens within fall, it goes in the album (pictured above). Last year I had some autumn activities like the corn maze in my end of summer album. Then I had an October daily album, and then November was so skinny because half of November I put into my Christmas album because it was a Christmas memory.
Speaking of the fall album – the cover – I’ve been using up some fabric scraps from all my festive sewing to make not only this cover, but a new snippet roll. Below is a slightly blurry photo of the snippet roll. I screenshot it from the video I took for Instagram. I like making things from “nothing,” in this case leftover and unused scraps. It’s like a free project. It’s a “stone soup” sort of thing.

If I don’t run out of motivation, I’ll make one with some paper scraps leftover from this month’s layouts.
Last weekend, John and I went for our traditional Pumpkin trip to Trader Joe’s. It’s my favorite shopping trip of the year! (besides the Costco pumpkin pie Thanksgiving run) We scored big time. Last year, with the big cross-country move, there was no trip, sadly.
Not pictured: Pumpkin Caramel Kringle (our favorite!). I love that TJ’s is so reasonably priced, too. Their canned pumpkin is only $1.99. This beats out all the places I usually shop. I got 2 cans, but I should have bought 4!

Of course I scrapbooked it! I love having little traditions because they make up my collective good memories. I think this is why scrapbooking is so enjoyable for me, it keeps my mind in a good place. I learned from a TikTok therapist this week that when you are feeling very down, it’s easy to recollect memories where you felt the same way and it can feel like this is how you have always felt. Consequently, when you’re happy you do the same, and will feel like you’re always pretty happy.
In tea news! My Advent calendar from David’s Tea finally arrived. I was so excited and relieved, that’s for sure. Can you even believe how beautiful it is?? I’m super happy David’s Tea matches my house. I’m still hoping this means we’ll see more navy blue in color forecasting.

Other news, I sold some handicrafts and purchased a fall scrapbook kit. I bought the modern memory keeping one. It arrived Friday and I sincerely like every single thing inside it. Yeah! Next Saturday is Digital Scrapbooking Day and I’m looking forward to some sale purchases to finish out my fall memory keeping stash.
Finally, here’s a funny for the week. See you soon-ish. <3, C
